SPECIFICATIONS
Type80 SYSLOG for z/OS is
an assembler written application that resides within an LPAR
on the mainframe. Each LPAR requires an instance of SYSLOG to
be active to achieve complete enterprise monitoring. SYSLOG
is a started task (STC) process that can be started at IPL time.
The SYSLOG STC collects console messages, messages from all
batch jobs, CICS, DB2, and all other WTO messages from within
the LPAR.
